Activity Partners and Exhibitors
Cirencester Rotary is inviting sports clubs and organisations to take part in their fourth Activius Family Fun Day.
A community event, attracting over 1000 people, that gives children and young people the chance to try
out a wide range of sports and activities, completely free of charge.
The Activius Goal
Our Goal is to bring together local clubs and activities, facilitating safe and organised access to sport for local children of all ages. Through encouraging our young people to sign-up to being active and healthy by doing some of the fun and challenging sports and activities offered by you and other local groups.
We particularly encourage the participation of children from disadvantaged backgrounds and/or who are facing challenges as recent research shows that of this demographic 72% do not reach national guidelines of one hours enhanced physical activity a day (LGA ‘Supporting youth in low-income neighbourhoods stay active in sport’ August 2024)
What’s the Event about?
A fun, welcoming and safe environment for children and young people of all abilities and their families
Children choosing which sports they have a go at through short, engaging taster sessions
The emphasis is on trying new things, playing and enjoying
Open to all, with a focus on removing financial and social barriers
This is more than a taster day – it’s an opportunity to spark a lifelong love of activity and to showcase your club
The Activius Model
Local sports and activity clubs, take part free of charge and showcase what they offer, encouraging young people to “have a go” and to sign up for a trial at a Club’s regular training venue.
Participation in sport is supported by our bursary scheme. This is designed to remove any financial barriers to participation by offering help towards joining or fees, clothing and equipment, where there’s a genuine need and where the club doesn’t have their own bursary offer.
We run a targeted marketing campaign to schools and other stake holders, to ensure we reach and encourage the right people to attend.
There is on-site catering, free parking and additional free Fun Activities to attract and retain visitors to the site through the day
Why Get Involved?
By participating your club will:
Inspire children to discover new sports or activities and build confidence
Support inclusion and equal access to physical activity
Grow future participation in your sport or activity
Make a real difference in your local community and raise your profile with families and schools
What we ask from you?
Provide positive role models and enthusiastic coaches and help to create a day that children and young
people will remember

And We will:

Signpost young people to your Club’s contact page via our website and event programme
Provide the logistics, promotion and co-ordination to make the event a success

opportunity to ‘have a go’.
